Marietta Hourly Garage Vehicle Maintenance

Job Title: Garage Attendant

 

Manager:  Director of Fleet Operations

 

Direct Reports: Al Burruss

 

Other Key Team / Positions: Live Dock, Shipping Dock and Grounds Attendant.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Trip heavy duty tractors and trailers.
• Perform basic Maintenance on Tractors and trailers

(Oil changes, replacing lights or filters

• Use safety equipment: Eye glasses, cutting tool guards, jack stands, latters, etc..
• Help in other areas or departments as needed.

 

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to walk, climb, and move in tight spaces; frequently required to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, and controls
• must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• must be able to lift and move heavy components while in tight
• work around moderate noise level
• Can work outside in summer heat and winter cold.

 

Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to read and write in English
• Communication skills
• knowledge of all types of vehicles and equipment
• Mechanical abilities for all vehicle components and systems
• Electrical abilities for all vehicle components and systems
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of safety precautions required while operating cutting tools, drilling, lifting, and welding.
