Job Description
The incumbent will be responsible for exploring and validating market opportunities, in the Healthcare provider space, working to prioritize those against high-growth strategic areas and Experian Health’s broad solution capabilities, to drive significant growth opportunities to market.
As a Product lead focused on innovation, the incumbent will be a key researcher for the discovery of client priorities, and perform deep validation work, to focus the allocation of new product resources.
As concepts mature, the incumbent will take on responsibilities, to drive opportunities into early-stage new products, through a stage-gated framework. This will involve product advocacy, business model definition, market research, and leading stakeholders through necessary validation efforts
- Leverage subject matter expertise and research to develop product strategy and roadmap, for continued future growth of products, within specified area and broader Experian Health
- Plan, prioritize, and propose solutions for jobs-to-be-done, that are identified as priorities for stakeholders
- Develop understanding of internal innovation frameworks, with the goal of applying innovation best practices
- Establish deep market knowledge. articulate buyer/user personas, value proposition, target market, decision markers, product positioning (internal and external), and overall product benefits
- Embrace and exemplify Agile principles and processes
- Establish deep product expertise, both from a technical and market perspective, by understanding existing Experian capabilities, buyer and user personas, value proposition, solution architecture, and user priorities
- Participate in new product development activities, to develop accepted business models, into viable market solutions
- Contribute to innovation reporting as required
- Able and excited to work within the dynamic innovation environment;
- Being open and flexible to new initiative-specific responsibilities as new learnings emerge
- Ability to stay current on relevant market activities / trends, competitive landscape, emerging relevant solutions and technologies / impact research areas, identify and communicate challenges / partnership or acquisition opportunities to manager
- Manages workload across multiple initiatives simultaneously, to ensure project throughput against time constraints
- Lead and manage frameworks for obtaining market feedback, through collaboration with internal market-facing functions
- Responsible for meeting annual targets with respect to key activities within the innovation framework
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, business administration, information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field
- Experience working with existing or emerging products; new product development experience is a plus
- Experience in the healthcare industry or experience in new product research activities required.
- Specific experience with healthcare analytics or healthcare revenue cycle management preferred.
- Knowledge of Innovation practices preferred, including design thinking, empathy mapping, jobs-to-be-done, assumption validation, etc.
