About the role

The Vice President, Home Care is responsible for envisioning, building, and leading LCS’s private duty home health care program from inception through enterprise-wide implementation. This executive leader will architect the strategic, operational, financial, and regulatory foundation for a brand‑new service line that will serve communities across multiple states and business lines. The VP will develop the long‑term vision, business model, infrastructure, standards, and tools required to successfully launch and scale home health care services. This role will collaborate closely with senior leadership, cross‑functional teams, and community operators to create a repeatable, high‑quality, and compliant home care model that strengthens resident experience and drives organizational growth.

What You’ll Do:  

Enterprise Strategy & New Program Development 

  • Design the overall strategic plan for LCS’s private duty home health care business, including mission, scope of services, financial model, and long‑range growth roadmap. 
  • Build the program from the ground up, including developing the operating model, governance structure, care delivery framework, and performance standards. 
  • Lead market analysis and feasibility studies to determine demand, competitive positioning, and optimal rollout sequence across Life Plan and Rental communities. 
  • Establish the brand identity, service philosophy, and value proposition for the new home health care line. 

Operational Infrastructure Creation 

  • Develop all foundational operational components required for launch, including:  
  • Policies & procedures 
  • Standard operating workflows 
  • Clinical and non‑clinical care protocols 
  • Documentation standards 
  • Quality monitoring tools 
  • Technology requirements and platform selection 
  • Create a comprehensive “turnkey launch kit” enabling consistent and efficient implementation across communities. 

Regulatory Compliance & Licensing 

  • Determine licensing and regulatory obligations for each state in which LCS operates. 
  • Develop a scalable, compliant framework that ensures all state-specific requirements are met prior to each launch. 
  • Serve as the company’s senior subject matter expert on home health care compliance, audit readiness, and risk mitigation. 

Enterprise Launch Leadership 

  • Lead the multi‑state rollout of the new home health care program, including project planning, resource allocation, and cross‑department coordination. 
  • Build a phased deployment model and lead site‑readiness assessments, staffing strategies, and go‑live execution. 
  • Establish the methodology for ongoing oversight, service‑line expansion, and post-launch optimization. 

Talent, Staffing, & Leadership Development 

  • Determine optimal staffing models, organizational structure, and leadership roles needed to support both corporate oversight and community‑based operations. 
  • Partner with HR to recruit, train, and develop Directors of Home Care at the community level. 
  • Build training programs supporting clinical excellence, service standards, compliance, and operational consistency. 

Financial Strategy & Performance Management 

  • Build the financial framework for the new business, including pricing models, reimbursement strategy (where applicable), and profitability targets. 
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and reporting tools for ongoing monitoring of operational and financial health. 
  • Partner with Finance to evaluate investment requirements and build pro forma projections for all new community launches.
