About the role

Position Summary

Evaluates, administers, and directs administration of therapeutic procedures utilized in physical therapy and rehabilitation as prescribed by a referring physician.  Establishes goals of physical therapy and performs reassessments on patient’s progress at regular timely intervals, supporting findings with written documentation.  Collaborates with inter-disciplinary team to improve patients outcomes while respecting patients privacy and rights.  

Qualifications/Experience 

Education:  

Graduate of accredited PT program

 

Experience: 

Previous experience preferred but not required

 

Licenses/Certificate:

License to practice in the State of Arkansas

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within one month of employment

Establishes and maintains two way communication with staff, physicians, leaders, and administration.

Accurately performs a physical therapy evaluation and documents.  

Appropriately administers safe and effective treatment with corresponding documentation.

Carefully re-assesses plan of care in appropriate time frame. Changes made as needed.

Communicates information to lead staff member, supervisor, or director in a timely manner.

Documents accurately and timely according to guidelines

Establishes priorities for maximizing productivity.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Accurately reflects billing in documentation.

Completely develops a comprehensive, precise and well documented treatment plan that can be administered by other PT’s or PTA’s.

Safely operates all treatment equipment.

Follows through with assignments and informs supervisor if unable to complete task.

Responds to directors and co-workers requests for information and assistance in a cooperative manner and with appropriate time frame.

Performs direct patient care at a professional level and on a timely basis to meet the daily needs of the IP and OP schedule.

Develops realistic STG’s and LTG’s which have a high probability of being achieved.

Completes evaluation forms with establishment of appropriate STG’s, LTG’s, and POC with 24 hours.

Completes discharge summaries with goal summation in a timely manner.

Treats customers as the most important part of job.

Listens to customer without interruption.

Takes actions to appropriately and successfully address customer issues; effectively communicates with customers.

Demonstrates respect for diverse cultures of all patients, families and co-workers.
