Laboratory Assistant - Histology - Nights

Bring your talents to our tight-knit team and provide the support our Laboratory Technologists need to complete tests that drive high-quality care and caring. As a Laboratory Assistant you can help provide quality patient care by accessioning, processing requisition forms, labeling specimens, and distributing specimens to the appropriate laboratory departments for testing.  In addition, you will change reagents on tissue samples, maintain processors and staining instruments and support in the slide file room as necessary. Furthermore, you will maintain chemical inventory, prepare cassettes for microtomy by Histotechnologists, and print logs for additional testing. Additional responsibilities as assigned.

This is a full time position, working Monday-Friday with hours from 12am – 8am with rotating weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• Some college or technical courses

• Laboratory processing experience

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal  

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED

• Prior data entry experience 

• Good communications skills and the ability to work as a team member

• Ability to work independently and follow through on work assignment

Salary Range:

$26.70-$34.10/Hourly
