Are you a leader with technical expertise in remediation and contaminated site management?   

In this position, you will work independently to manage a portfolio of contaminated sites, the ground water monitoring program, liaise with company stakeholders, monitor regulatory requirements, and manage remediation on a variety of contaminated sites.  We are looking for someone with effective project management, communication, and attention to detail and if that is you, we would love to hear from you today!

What You Will Do:

  • Accountable for a portfolio of remediation sites with the expectation of moving the site through the remediation process from identification through to closure.

  • Management of the Ground Water Monitoring program for the United States assets.

  • Manage environmental aspects of the remediation portfolio including management of consultants and resources

  • Establish viable working relationships with government agencies, agency personnel, Indigenous communities and landowners.

  • Review of technical reports, scopes of work, and proposals.

  • Preparation of internal and external correspondence to support remediation and contaminated site work.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Major Projects, Legal, Regulatory) to execute approved work and facilitate regulatory approvals.

  • Work with federal, state and local agencies to secure remediation path to closure approval and ensure environmental compliance with agency regulations.

  • Work collaboratively with other Environmental, Operations, and Projects Staff to achieve overall program objectives.

  • Keeping all data tracking tools updated throughout a site’s lifecycle.

Who You Are:

You have the following education and experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree specializing in environmental science, environmental engineering, or similar physical or biological science related field.

  • Minimum of seven years of environmental experience in the pipeline, industry, or upstream oil and gas sectors with a strong focus on contaminated site management.

  • A self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • The ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to coordinate and manage activities requiring the use of environmental consultants or contractors.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with or for Enbridge on remediation files.

  • Experience working with emerging contamination issues including PFAS

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with a significant amount of regular travel to field locations.
