Job Description Summary

Research Assistants will: place recruitment advertisements, screen participants for eligibility, and schedule participants; administer self-report measures at baseline and conduct baseline smoking rate assessments; mail study products; conduct virtual laboratory assessments of nicotine product reward; conduct post-sampling assessments, measures CO, and follow-up assessments of harm-reduction product use, medicinal nicotine use, and cigarette smoking; and follow up with participants who reschedule or fail to show for an appointment, enter the study data, and ensure adequate study related supplies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct participant eligibility screens. Review ICF and HIPAA forms with potential participants, answer questions, obtain signatures and maintain regulatory consent binders.
  • Conduct participant laboratory sessions and data entry. This includes administering questionnaires and computer tasks, collecting physiological data, collecting and reporting side effects, and entering data.
  • Maintain participant charts; conduct regular milestone and chart QA. Prepare documents (e.g. pulling charts, logs, etc.) necessary for monitoring visits. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position contingent upon grant funding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. High School Grad/GE Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
