- This job is a member of the Inflight Experience Team within the Customer Organization.
- Responsible for defining the product strategy for American’s in-flight customer engagement strategy and roadmap, including developing third party partnerships, managing the design, and execution of entertainment products/strategies, as well as, competitive benchmarking and other ad hoc projects. Additionally, this position will make strategic recommendations that define American’s in-air customer experience, based on both quantitative analysis and customer research.
What you'll do
- Develops analyses to evaluate the customer impact and financial implications of American's IFE product strategy and customer journey
- Account manager for existing partnerships (i.e. Apple, Austin City LImits, etc.) monitoring performance and identify/driving expansion opportunities; evaluates initiatives and new partnerships identifying innovative opportunities to offset costs and drive revenue.
- Provides recommendations on strategic IFE projects; analyze pricing, revenue-enhancing proposals, capital expenditures, cost-savings opportunities, process/technology changes, network development, and product initiatives
- Supports procurement in negotiations for next generation IFE products/partnerships in support of the customer experience
- Works across a variety of functional areas including Finance, Procurement, Tech Ops, and Aircraft Interiors for strategic and tactical decision-making
- Works directly with external suppliers to influence revenue-generating opportunities, as well as ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Supports AAinflight and other customer interfaces with product and strategy decisions
- Develops customer research strategies, monitors the competitive landscape and industry trends to ensure American is positioned for success and delivers presentations for business cases and recommendations on key initiatives to Senior Management
- Develops financial forecasts, manage key components of the IFE operating budget and contribute to funding requests
- Tracks, reports and analyzes IFE revenue streams, financial trends and product usage
- Performs ad hoc financial reporting and modeling analysis; work on special projects as assigned

- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience/training
- 3 years related work experience

- Proven financial and analytical skills with a demonstrated aptitude for understanding the business, working with data, developing detailed logical analysis, and solving problems creatively
- Ability to think quickly and handle a variety of projects concurrently
- Strong oral and written communication skills with packaging and presentation experience to senior management
- Ability to negotiate and communicate proficiently with all levels of management and with external suppliers, and quickly develop relationships
- Demonstrated experience in Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentation development; advanced Excel user
- Working knowledge of airline industry databases and tools such as Mosaic, Sabre or SQL
