Receiver/Delivery Coordinator (RDC)

Description

The Receiver/Delivery Coordinator (RDC) is responsible for all aspects of the delivery system, for food produced at the C Square kitchen, for delivery to the Main Store. The RDC oversees all C Square Delivery Staff and Kitchen Porters. Works alongside and is accountable to the Food Production Manager and the Director of Prepared Foods.

Full time position. $19-$25/hour

Requirements

Primary Duties

Timely and safe delivery of food to the store

Receiving, distribution and storage of food and supply inventory

Maintains an accurate system for receiving and verifying invoices, assures that invoices are turned in to the Director of Prepared Foods, per policy

Responsible for receiving food and supply inventory in an accurate manner

Responsible for clean and safe delivery vehicle 

Delivers exceptional internal customer service

Oversees all delivery drivers and ensures that acceptable practices are followed

Maintains focus and pace to complete daily tasks in a timely manner

As directed may be responsible for scheduling of the Delivery Staff and Kitchen Porters

Maintains a neat and organized receiving area 

Communicates concerns and ideas to manager

Will work closely with Packaging Coordinator to establish and maintain delivery of inventory

Maintains organization of all inventory in Makery including refrigeration and freezers

Provides break and lunch coverage for the Dishwashing Staff

Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Experience working in retail, preferably grocery or natural food store

Knowledge of food production ingredients and packaging material helpful

Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service by projecting a friendly, outgoing presence and maintaining a respectful demeanor at all times

Ability to handle multiple demands, remain calm, think quickly, prioritize effectively, and problem solve within established guidelines

Safe handling of pallet jacks and carts

Ability to work well with others in a cooperative environment where teamwork, compassion and constant communication are essential

Possess strong computer aptitude – ability to learn and become proficient with various software programs

Maintains a safe and responsible driving record

Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends

Ability to maintain current food handler card

Must be at least 18 years of age

Essential Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, squat and walk for extended periods of time

Ability to lift 30 pounds often, up to 70 pounds occasionally

Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds

Able to use a ladder to access items on high shelves

Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine finger manipulation

Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezers, outdoor, etc.)

Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, and rotating

Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
