POSITION DESCRIPTION: ACCOUNTING MANAGER
DrinkPAK is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support and lead the aggressive growth targets of the Company. This position will work very closely with the TX Controller to build and manage the finance and accounting infrastructure and processes required to be successful within a fast-paced, multi-client co-packing environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is energized by building teams and processes, and who is looking to grow into broader accounting leadership. This position will be responsible for managing the company's routine GL operations, month-end close, and cost accounting function, while directly supervising Staff and Senior Accountants, and partnering cross-functionally on annual audits, job costing across multi-client production runs, and ongoing deliverables as they relate to customer relationships.

LOCATION: The position is based at DrinkPAK’s Texas Beverage Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, Texas
TYPE: Full Time; Salaried / Exempt
RESPONSIBILITIES
Own and manage the Company's month-end financial close process (i.e. build and administer close schedule, review general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and journal entries prepared by the team)
Directly supervise, train, and develop Staff and Senior Accountants, reviewing their work and building bench strength as the team scales.
Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and rollforwards.
Analyze and report on variances between standard and actual costs, yield, and waste, partnering with Operations to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and review customer-level margin reporting to support commercial and operational decision-making.
Partner with other departments to confirm proper execution of routine daily transactions (i.e. receipt of goods, AR invoicing and approval controls, inventory management and external reporting, expense reporting, etc.).
Oversee periodic (daily & monthly) invoicing, including direct interaction with Company customers as needed.
Oversee inventory reconciliations for Company-owned and customer-owned materials, and manage cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
Design, document, and enforce accounting policies and procedures, including segregation of duties and compensating controls, to strengthen the company's internal control framework.
Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and company policies across the accounting function.
Lead the Company's involvement in financial audits and tax filings, serving as primary point of contact for auditors and preparing audit requests.
Identify and drive process improvements in financial reporting, cost accounting, and operations support, including ERP system enhancements.
Perform ad hoc assignments and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA or CMA a plus
Minimum of 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior supervisory or team-lead experience; CPG, co-packing, or manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
