Offshore Electronics/Electrical Engineer

<p>The position was mainly created to support the Robotics field of ASSO Group. The candidate will assist in the implementation of offshore projects. Installation, troubleshooting and repairing of electromechanical assemblies and systems are part of the day-to-day tasks. Qualified candidates will be keen to develop troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and keen to participate in offshore projects on a rotation basis, as part of the offshore project team.</p><p><strong>This role is a combination of Onshore and Offshore Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Onshore </strong></p><ul> <li>Assist the electronics team and participate in the upcoming projects; </li> <li>Support the team with the day-today tasks; </li> <li>Participate and assist in the vessel mobilization; </li> </ul><p><strong>Offshore </strong></p><ul> <li>Knowledge and ability to understand the combined technology of optical and electromechanical systems in order to troubleshoot, maintain and support equipment; </li> <li>Be part of the offshore vessel teams that operate, assembly, maintain the subsea Trenching, Cable Laying and ROV equipment; </li> <li>Identify and diagnose electrical and electronics issues and ensures the optimal functionality of the electrical/electronic equipment; </li> <li>Develop and implement effective solutions to resolve technical problems promptly; </li> <li>Conduct routine inspections, maintenance and repairs of electromechanical equipment including control panels, sensors, instruments and communication equipment; </li> <li>Provide detailed feedback and prepare technical reports in English language; </li> <li>Report and collaborates with Project Supervisors and Project Managers; </li> <li>Assist in general hands-on tasks as per project requests. </li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>A higher degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering; </li> <li>1-3 years proven experience in troubleshooting electronic devices; </li> <li>Experience in Optical Instruments and tools such as Fusion Splicers and Optical Measuring systems (i.e. OTDR), in Serial/Ethernet Communication protocols and devices (i.e. RS232, RS485), in video multiplexing systems (i.e Video Matrix, Quad , KVM ) will be considered as an as advantage;</li> <li>Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in English language</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and analytical skills operating with high level of responsibility and independency;</li> <li>Ability to quickly assimilate new information;</li> <li>Ability and willingness to learn new skills;</li> <li>Ability to perform multiple tasks and respond to emergency situations effectively;</li> <li>Willingness to travel and work on a rotational basis.</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>Private Health Insurance</li> <li>Fast-paced environment</li> <li>Specialization in a niche market</li> <li>Competitive compensation</li> <li>Continuous development opportunities</li> </ul> <p><br/></p><p><em>This job description is intended to convey information essential to understand the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
