Building Maintenance II (7a-3p)

Position Summary: Perform preventative maintenance to equipment on a scheduled basis.

Essential Job Functions:

• The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Repair and maintain HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and kitchen equipment
• Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings
• Perform preventative maintenance to equipment on a scheduled basis
• Handle routine calls, prioritized by guest service needs
• Plumbing, drywall repair, carpentry functions, special trade
• Snow removal during the winter months
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• Must have 2-3 years’ experience in general maintenance including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
• EPA certification or certificate in HVAC, plumbing, or facilities maintenance preferable
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to read an electrical meter
• Must be able to read a wiring diagram
• Must have a current valid driver’s license
• Driving record must meet driver eligibility requirements of Rivers Casino’s insurance policy
• Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
• Ability to follow all policies and procedures including but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holiday
• Continuously required to see, talk and hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel and to reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to stand and walk, pushing/pulling.
• Occasionally bend/stoop and kneel.
• Occasionally reaching waist to shoulder, knee to waist and floor to knee.
• Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
