The International Payroll Sr Analyst role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of accurate and timely payrolls while meeting statutory and regulatory compliance requirements, while providing exceptional customer service to employees, owners, internal partners, and vendors.

The position is responsible for all aspects of international assignments/rotations, supporting the India and El Salvador payroll groups, semi-monthly Canada payroll processing, research and resolve US tax issues, and provide leadership and analytical support to the US payroll group. 

The position ensures the HRIS and HR systems are compliant with company policies, legislative/regulatory changes, and tax requirements of Federal, State, and local authorities for both the U.S. and Canada. 


Key Responsibilities:

Provide domain expertise and support in a collaborative manner with the Global Mobility and International Tax groups.  Provide country and regional expertise on regulatory, industry, and best practice approach to payroll.  Assist in specialized processing requiring more detailed knowledge of payroll procedures.  Assess and review payroll spreadsheets and reporting for accuracy and data integrity. 

Works closely with host countries providing necessary payroll information to host countries to process shadow payrolls and applicable wires timely and accurately.  Responsible for expatriate shadow payroll processing for in-country tax payments/requirements.  Performs Provide exceptional customer service to India and El Salvador including attending calls as needed to help analyze payroll issues and provide direction and resolution. 

Analyze and review U.S. and Canada time calculations including multi-state non-resident time entry for the U.S.  Research, resolve, and explain U.S. and Canada tax issues to employees at all levels of the organization. 

Applies critical thinking skills and effective problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues, errors, and matters.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of US multi-state payroll experience
  • At least 2 years of Canada payroll experience
  • At least 5 years of details Global assignment/rotation payroll experience
  • Strong working knowledge of MS applications, including Excel (pivot tables, lookup function, formulas), Word (mail merge and tables), and Outlook (email, calendars, tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient understanding of payroll process controls, financial compliance, and regulations
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking skills, analyze situations, define problems, determine applicable actions, and communicate resolution
