We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Immunization Program Clerk to join our team. In this critical role, you'll be the first point of contact for clients, playing a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our immunization program.
Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a challenging position with a significant opportunity for growth. You'll use your excellent customer service and administrative skills to provide support for the program, with a focus on:
- Client Management: You will be responsible for registering clients in FLSHOTS and HMS, scanning essential documents, scheduling appointments, and managing phone calls and voicemails. You'll ensure all client information, from demographics to insurance details, is accurate and up to date.
- Data Entry & Records: Your strong data entry skills will be key as you input historical immunization records into FLSHOTS and manage medical documents. You'll also learn complex vaccine schedules and requirements to evaluate client records.
- Billing & Payments: You will assist with collecting payments for services and support the billing of insurances, requiring a knack for medical coding and cashier responsibilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Customer Service: You have outstanding in-person and telephone customer service skills.
- Technical Skills: You are proficient in data entry and can quickly learn new software systems.
- Problem-Solving: You are a creative problem-solver who can organize your workload to meet deadlines.
- Medical Knowledge: You have skills in medical coding, insurance billing, and managing financial transactions.
Qualifications:
Minimum –
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Florida driver's license or access to reliable transportation
- 1 to 3 years of clerical experience. Each year of experience may be substituted with 30 college semester hours or 720 hours of vocational training
Preferred –
- Experience in customer service, insurance verification, data entry, and scheduling
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
