About the role

Description

 

We are seeking an ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT to be a part of the Institutional Client Services Group of our wealth management firm, located in Cleveland, Ohio. The candidate will provide high-level investment and financial counsel to institutional clients.


In this position you will:


  • Work directly with clients to review monthly and quarterly performance results, investment goals and objectives, asset allocation, investment policy statements, manager searches and due diligence, and analyzes such data to make investment and financial judgements to provide sound counsel to clients. 
  • Communicate directly with clients to research and resolve client issues 
  • May specialize in one or more functional area (i.e., not-for-profit, defined contribution retirement) 
  • Assist in Business Development efforts including calling prospective clients and finding referrals
  • Coordinate and assist with RFP responses 
  • Monitor and analyze investment performance for purposes of providing consultation and expert advice to other consultants
  • Conduct investment research projects and analyze/evaluate the data from such research in order to provide sound investment recommendations
  • Provide summary analysis to other consultants and may assist with larger client responsibilities
  • Coordinate and finalize client meeting materials
  • Review and finalize client quarterly evaluation reports and monthly flash reports
  • May present quarterly materials to institutional clients 
  • Complete other duties as assigned



Requirements

  

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably MBA or other advanced degree
  • Chartered Financial Analyst® charter holder or in pursuit of the CFA® designation a plus
  • 1-3 years of investment-related experience a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks in a demanding environment where time management, attention to detail, follow-through and meeting deadlines are critical
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, written, and oral communications skills and business maturity while working proactively in a client-focused entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to conduct quantitative analysis with a critical eye
  • In-depth understanding of quantitative statistics and methods used to evaluate investment managers along with ability to assess qualitative attributes
  • Familiarity with computer applications, proficient in spreadsheets
  • Comfortable dealing with high-level decision makers
  • High standards of quality, professionalism and ethics
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Commitment to quality in every facet of the position
