The Position:
The Brother 2 Brother (B2B) Project Coordinator is a part-time grant funded. The coordinator will report to the Director of Diversity, Equity & Belonging. This position will support the students in B2B to assist with efforts directed to help members remain engaged, retained, and ultimately graduate. This position would assist in creating, implementing, and managing programs and initiatives focused on the retention of the students per the grant objectives and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, implement, and manage new initiatives focused on the retention of B2B members (per the grant).
- Supervise two student workers and ensure the students are working on projects that are aligned with the grant.
- Train and prep students for work assignments
- Maintain student grades, event attendance and any other data needed for grant reporting
- Lead mentor/mentee pairing and other relevant activities
- Work collaboratively across various departments on campus

Education and Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with project management and assessment.
- Experience working with diverse populations, especially the underrepresented male community.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills including a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem-solving, and a desire to identify and support student success.
- Excellent organizational, time-management skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Canvas, Zoom)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Professional work experience in institutions of higher education or related fields
- Experience in working with nonprofits or community colleges
- Experience related to working with males and mentor programs
- Multilingual speaking preferred

Starting Salary Range: $20.00/hourly
