Electrical Project Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Manage capital projects in accordance with the organization’s project management policy
- Drive the NA region’s automation and digitalization efforts through application of robotics and data acquisition
- Drive Asheville’s energy monitoring through visualization and execution of energy reduction projects
- Organize and drive Asheville’s control system capital replacement program
- Internal:
- Solicits input from all project stakeholders (operators, maintenance technicians, site management, HSE, etc.)
- Drives consensus on project scope, specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Coordination with procurement: analysis of bids for technical correctness, pricing and value engineering.
- Defines project organization, including roles and stakeholders, and communicates regularly to those stakeholders.
- External:
- Prepares organized and comprehensive bid packages for potential suppliers and coordinates analysis and award.
- Manages contractor installations with a high emphasis on workplace and contractor safety.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering (preferred); other disciplines acceptable based upon work experience
- 5+ years in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience capital project management
- Strong understanding of control systems design (Rockwell, Allen Bradley) and CAD software
