The Procurement Manager will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring transportation and logistics services for DSV. The successful candidate will ensure that all services are procured at the best possible cost, quality, and delivery time, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Identify and evaluate potential transportation and logistics service providers 

  • Negotiate rates, terms, and conditions with suppliers 

  • Manage contracts and ensure compliance with contractual agreements 

  • Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action as necessary 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop procurement strategies 

  • Manage procurement data and maintain accurate records 

  • Provide reports and analysis to management as needed 

 

Educational background / Work experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field 

  • At least 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics procurement, preferably in a global organization 

 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Strong negotiation skills 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field 

  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g. CIPS, CPSM) 

 

Language skills 

  • Fluent in English (oral and written) 

 

Computer Literacy 

  • Proficient in procurement software and tools 

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and data analytics tools is a plus.
