You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience This is an entry level position and no minimum qualifications are required for this position. Previous knowledge of food preparation and operation and cleaning of food service equipment is desired. This is a developmental job position in which incumbent will show progressive knowledge in the duties and responsibilities and complete training within 3 months of hiring, and when a mastery of the duties is shown the incumbent will be promoted to the Cook, NA-04 position. Experience with operation and cleaning of food service equipment, and knowledge of food preparation and presentation is desired. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions, work safely, and do simple arithmetic. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs. Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to pass a physical and complete food handlers training. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries/Tier 1 Background Investigation (NACI/Tier 1).
