Overnight Maintenance Mechanic

We are looking for an Overnight Maintenance Mechanic to join our facilities team.

• Responsible for building inspections to include HVAC system, steam system, plumbing, electrical, pnuematic system, medical gas system, and medical vacuum system.
• Daily inspection of medical gases on each floor and ability to replace medical gas tank when empty
• Must be able to use hand tools and some power tools
• Able to repair basic plumbing, electrical, plaster, painting, replace air filters for HVAC system
• Must be willing and open to be trained on building specific HVAC system (chiller plant for summer, steam generator for winter)
• Training to operate fire alarm system
• Repair and maintain building using hand tools and power tools.
• Paint, repair woodwork, drywall and plaster
• Repair plumbing fixtures
• Repair and maintain a variety of veterinary tools
• Perform major and minor electrical repairs
• Perform start-up procedures and trouble shoot electrical and mechanical equipment
• Repair, maintain, install HVAC systems, making related adjustments and calibrations
• All other related duties as assigned or require

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Trade school certification very helpful
• Repair and maintain building using hand tools and power tools.
• Paint, repair woodwork, drywall and plaster
• Repair plumbing fixtures
• Repair and maintain a variety of veterinary tools
• Perform major and minor electrical repairs
• Perform start-up procedures and trouble shoot electrical and mechanical equipment
• Repair, maintain, install HVAC systems, making related adjustments and calibrations
• All other related duties as assigned or require
• Must be able to work overnight and weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of basic building equipment: plumbing, electrical, painting and repair
• Willing to work and learn
• Knowledge of basic computer skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to get FDNY certificate of Fitness G71 after hire to maintain the medical gas system and certificate of fire safety

 

Overnight Additional Compensation

• In addition to the hourly rate, there is a 10% differential to the pay rate additionally compensated for hours worked between 12am-7am.

Pay Range$19.70—$25.30 USD
