Your Responsibilities

 

As a Product Engineer, Mechanical for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will play a key role in the development of innovative, industry leading solutions that are active contributors to sustainably feeding, fueling, and clothing the world. In addition, you will….

 

• Operate in an inclusive, diverse team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews, testing and analysis
• Produce, evaluate, and test possible design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance based
• Solve problems and develop innovative mechanical solutions to enhance customer experience, implement new features, and deliver value improvement
• Compile and furnish necessary information (engineering decisions and reports of pertinent design analyses data) to document the design solution required for
• building of prototypes and adoption of the design with key stakeholders
• Execute test or analysis plan for product verification and validation
• Effectively work with cross-functional team members and suppliers to deliver designs that meet performance, durability, cost, and schedule targets

• Skilled in the use of Creo Parametric
• Internships, relevant course work, and/or practical experience related to mechanical components and systems 
• Knowledge of general product development processes
• Construction engineering experience
• Advanced training in additional engineering disciplines

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Agricultural, or similar
