Reporting to the VP, Human Resources (Talent Acquisition), the Director of Recruiting will develop, build and lead a best in class recruiting team. The role will be responsible for driving a creative sourcing strategy and implementing consistent processes and reporting. This position will consistently measure the team progress against aggressive hiring goals. The Director will partner closely with division leaders across the company and be viewed as a trusted and valuable partner. The Director will leverage our Applicant Tracking System to drive reporting and recruiter behaviors, and lead, motivate and develop team members.
- Lead talent acquisition strategies, program management, process, tools, and systems which include the broad categories of exempt, non-exempt recruiting in developing competencies to source and attract top talent.
- Lead Recruiting Manager and/or Recruiting Team Leads who will be responsible for production goals on both non-exempt and exempt positions.
- Build strong relationships with the division leaders, i.e., Regional Vice Presidents and Directors in Operations.
- Ensure the staffing process allows for a positive candidate experience as well as appropriate legal and compliant employment practices.
- Proactively identify and address areas of improvement by developing and implementing effective changes to employment strategies, policies, and processes.
- Partner with the Director, Senior Director, V.P., Staffing Operations to maximize the Applicant Tracking System by provided process improvements and new and innovative approaches to fill position with top qualified candidates.
- Partner with other areas of HR, i.e., Compensation, Training etc., when needed to support overall staffing initiatives such as new job evaluations, job market studies etc.
- Manage large scale staffing initiatives and serve as a point of contact for HR client partners to share best-practice transition details and reporting throughout the project.
- Lead special projects as assigned by the Senior Director, V.P. or SVP.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Work Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent in industry name required.
- 10 years of direct experience sourcing, recruiting, managing process, and managing client relationships.
- Experience managing recruiting teams, and large volume.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Solid knowledge of employment law.
- Very strong computer skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and high-profile deadlines.
- Ability to analyze data.
- Must be able to manage highly confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be extremely detail oriented while also focusing on the big picture.
- Occasional travel will be required.
