Brown & Brown Insurance is seeking a Claims and Reporting Advocate to join their Claims Department in Brentwood, TN!

***This is a Hybrid position***

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

SUMMARY:  Communicates with the clients regarding new losses, reports claims to carrier partners, advocates on service or coverage issues on existing claims.  Participates in large claim review and communicates changes in reserves and litigation developments. Provides claims analysis to producers and risk control staff to keep both parties aware of developments. Special emphasis is given to claim developments with potential to adversely impact client loss history or producer\client relationship.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Is available to facilitate quick reaction to producer\client inquiries and claim assistance.
  • Procures and analyzes loss runs at regular intervals to monitor claim history for developments.
  • Communicates with the clients regarding new losses, reports claims to carrier partners, advocates on service or coverage issues on existing claims. 
  • Maintains detailed records and activities in agency’s data management systems.
  • Participates in large claim review and communicates changes in reserves and litigation developments. Provides claims analysis to producers and risk control staff to keep both parties aware of developments. anticipates in large claim review and communicates changes in reserves and litigation developments.   • Prepares analytical claim reports and maintains report schedule for key accounts.
  • Discuss claims with adjusters to advocate client concerns, speed claims to closure, and ensure reserves are reasonable.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Property & Casualty License (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment)
  • Associate degree (or equivalent experience and education)
  • 1 – 5 years’ experience in Workers Compensation Claims handling
  • Proficient with MS Office, & Excel
