About the role

Description

This postdoctoral research position is available at the Intelligent Systems and Wireless Networking (IS-WiN) Lab in the Holcombe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The particular project focuses on various aspects of, cyber-physical, machine learning systems and AI-based decision making autonomous vehicle systems. Examples of Duties:

  • Developing AI-based navigation and coordination for autonomous vehicle systems – 20%
  • Edge processing and decision making at autonomous vehicles – 20%
  • Developing a hardware-in-the-loop robotic-UAV simulator – 20%
  • Dissemination of research progress through conference papers, journal articles, and software package. – 20%
  • Collaboration with other groups within and beyond the institution, including interfacing with both academic partners and industry collaborators – 10%
  • Mentoring graduate and undergraduate student researchers. – 10%

Qualifications

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
