Our mission is to redefine care for the most vulnerable. The healthcare system is failing the underserved. We are transforming the healthcare experience for low-income families through cutting edge technology and operations. Abby Care is a leading provider of home health services, dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to families and individuals in the comfort of their homes.

What makes us the home health provider of the 21st century:

  • Clinical excellence - We strive to deliver the best-in class care to our families. Our culture encourages clinical growth and emphasizes quality in all our clinical processes.
  • Family training and support - We believe that family care is key to a patient's wellbeing and health. Our care model incorporates family support into care plans.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced and driven individual to join us as a New Market Expansion Associate. You will report to the Head of Expansion. This is a full-time on-site opportunity based in San Francisco, CA with the expectation to travel to new markets 40% of the time. In this role, you’ll build and implement our expansion playbook and execute unparalleled processes to help launch and shape our growth roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the vision of the Expansion function end-to-end. You’ll help define strategy for expansion, set northstar KPIs, build scalable processes, and drive mission-crucial initiatives to bring our program to new geographies and to thousands of new families.
  • Craft growth processes for scale and constantly experiment. You’re relentless about operational excellence. You’ll help take our operations team to new heights through constantly refining processes, designing systems, and constructing playbooks that will scale with exponential growth.
  • Build for Scale and Flexibility. We have grown exceptionally fast and expect that growth to continue to accelerate. That growth comes with the complexity of requirements that differ across the United States. You’ll collaborate closely with leaders to best balance optimal patient experience with varying regulatory requirements and that will support hypergrowth. It’s an interesting challenge that keeps us going everyday.
  • Partner with operations, clinical, and product teams across the company. You'll be a critical voice for shaping our roadmap to further our mission.

The Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of operational or strategy experience. You’ve worked in consulting, banking, private equity, or in fast-paced operations of a startup or larger company.
    • Bonus points if you worked in healthcare or similar industries
    • Bonus points if you have been at a fast-paced startup or company, especially complex-ops driven companies requiring boots-on-the-ground
  • Experience building and structuring operations teams on-the-ground. You’re a stellar project manager, recruiter, and leader when it comes to running a high-velocity operations function.
  • Experience with setting strategic direction. You’ll understand the company’s mission, influence strategic objectives, and execute toward measurable goals.
  • Experience in business analytics and metrics. You’re data driven and use that to inform your decisions.

Who We're Looking For

This role would be a fit for you if you have the following:

  • Pride in being the jack-of-all trades.

    • Everyone has heard of the ‘a jack of all trades is a master of none’ quote. However, what most people missed is the second half of the quote ‘a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one’. You know this, and it’s your superpower.
    • You don’t view what you do as simply executing. Rather, to you, a process-oriented mindset pushes you to create impact for the world at scale.
    • You’re optimistic that outdated but important industries can be transformed. You aspire to help people access healthcare as a basic fundamental need.
  • Operational execution and leadership.
