About the role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial self-starter for the role of Senior A/R & A/P Specialist to assist in the day-to-day operations of the finance team, including invoicing & collections, customer relations, accounts payable, and other accounting activities. This role will report to the Senior A/R & A/P Manager and be responsible for using excellent communication skills to respond to internal and customer inquiries while operating with the utmost integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a principal coordinator between the Finance team, customers, and all other internal stakeholders, including Sales, Client Success, and Operations
  • Support the Finance team with key accounting-related activities, including payment processing, limited journal entries, and boosting internal data integrity
  • Learn and consider the accounting impact of your activity within our invoicing and accounting environment
  • Support all accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and collections, using QuickBooks Desktop, Sage Intacct, and HighRadius
  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries in a timely, friendly, and empathetic manner
  • Ensure the complete, accurate, and timely processing of all transactions
  • Run reports to support both Senior A/R & A/P Manager, Controller, and CFO to understand A/R and A/P trends better
  • Actively participate in the design and implementation of the collections process to reduce A/R days and minimize cash flow variability
  • Serve as the trained backup for a variety of roles, possibly to include payables processing, expense card, and expense report processing, among others

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree required; business/accounting acumen preferred
  • A strong desire to be part of a rapidly-growing team and meaningfully influence the future direction of the finance department and organization overall
  • Must be a multi-tasker who can remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to execute numerous KPIs with confidence and command
  • A strong desire to collaborate with others and work cross-functionally
  • Outgoing and empathetic with a client-first mentality
