The Customs Supervisor will oversee and manage the customs operations of the company, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, laws, and procedures. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of customs specialists, ensuring that all customs entries are processed accurately and timely, and providing exceptional customer service to clients.
Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the customs operations of the company, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and procedures

Lead and manage a team of customs specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed

Process customs entries and clearances for import and export shipments
-
Monitor and manage the timely processing of customs entries to avoid any delays or penalties

Develop and maintain relationships with customs officials, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient customs clearance processes

Ensure all customs-related documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with regulations

Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any customs-related concerns or questions they may have

Conduct regular audits of customs operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary

Stay up-to-date with changes to customs regulations, laws, and procedures and ensure that the team is informed and trained accordingly
Educational background / Work experience
-
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as logistics, supply chain management, or international business
-
Additional certification in customs or logistics is a plus
-
At least 5 years of experience in customs operations or customs brokerage, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role

Knowledge of customs regulations, laws, and procedures

Experience working with customs officials, brokers, and other stakeholders

Strong understanding of import and export processes and documentation requirements
