About the Role

Moloco is a machine learning company operating at massive scale (we ingest 10 petabytes of training data per day) and our models are blazingly fast (returning predictions in 10 milliseconds or less); and a profitable unicorn (we're valued at $2B & been profitable for the last 17+ quarters). 

On the Strategic Infrastructure team, you’ll provide cross-functional leadership for a cloud infrastructure team which engages on Moloco’s most strategic infrastructure projects.  Moloco utilizes multiple cloud providers, and Strategic Infra is responsible for onboarding new platforms as well as scaling and optimizing the performance of Moloco’s core infrastructure assets.

What you'll do

• Manage projects, grow, and mentor a team of software engineers
• Evaluate and onboard cutting edge infrastructure platforms and features for usage at massive scale in Moloco’s machine learning systems
• Optimize infrastructure platform performance with different goals including latency, cost, and throughput
• Improve infrastructure efficiency, and upgrade core platforms to the latest technology for efficient and scalable operations
• Collaborate with other engineers at Moloco to build the best ML-based mobile advertising platform in the world

What you'll need to succeed

• BS in Computer Science or related fields (MS preferred)
• Leadership experience -- time spent as a Technical Lead Manager on a large scale project or direct engineering manager experience
• Management experience -- we're seeking someone who can optimize each team member's strengths and apply their skills in the right place
• Desire to still be hands on, working alongside the rest of the Strategic Infrastructure team and adding value to complex projects
• 10+ years of hands-on industry experience in software development
• Excellent software development skills and fluency in at least one programming language (preferably Java, Go, or Python)
