Job Description: FGS, LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Electronic Security Systems Technician to support the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) in Suitland, MD. The successful candidate will be experienced in designing, installing, and maintaining enterprise-grade access control, intrusion detection, and video management systems. As part of a dedicated security team, the candidate will work closely with stakeholders, vendors, and technicians to deliver modern, integrated physical security solutions that meet mission-critical requirements.

Job Title: Electronic Security System Technician
Job Description: FGS, LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Electronic Security Systems Technician to support the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) in Suitland, MD. The successful candidate will be experienced in designing, installing, and maintaining enterprise-grade access control, intrusion detection, and video management systems. As part of a dedicated security team, the candidate will work closely with stakeholders, vendors, and technicians to deliver modern, integrated physical security solutions that meet mission-critical requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather and capture system requirements through meetings and site surveys
- Perform detailed site assessments to determine optimal security solutions
- Collaborate with vendors to integrate technologies into comprehensive designs
- Maintain physical security systems including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems
- Potentially lead integration projects involving subcontractors, vendors, and multiple technologies
- Conduct product research to identify solutions for unique security challenges
- Create system design drawings such as layouts, elevations, one-lines, and floor plans
- Respond to system issues and provide corrective actions
- Deliver user training on installed equipment and systems
- Provide occasional after-hours support for critical incidents
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on security systems
- Qualified candidate will receive site-specific training on unique systems
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic physical security systems
- Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Understanding of sensor/system integration techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Mercury-based and SALTO access control systems
- Familiarity with RF detection and signal heat mapping
- Knowledge of IP networking (switching and routing)
- Prior work experience in the Intelligence Community or Military
