About the role
<p>We are seeking an <strong>energetic and technically oriented sales professional</strong> to join our global team of experts to elevate the growth of NAPA Design Solutions in Europe. This is a unique <strong>opportunity to support the European shipbuilding industry</strong> by introducing <a href="https://www.napa.fi/software-and-services/ship-design/">NAPA’s cutting-edge software</a> that enhances efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness. This position is based <strong>in Germany</strong>, with the option to work remotely or, alternatively, in a <strong>hybrid model in the Hamburg area.</strong></p><p>You will work closely with our global sales and support teams, as well as with product development and marketing, who are committed to supporting your success in this role. You will also collaborate with our partners <strong>to deliver innovative integrated digital solutions to the market.</strong> This position requires frequent travel, mostly to Central Europe. </p><p>NAPA’s proven solutions are widely used in the global ship design, classification, and life-cycle management process by over 400 organizations. Companies ranging from shipyards to engineering offices, classification societies, ship owners and research institutes are typical <a href="https://www.napa.fi/software-and-services/ship-design/customers-and-stories/">end users of our solutions</a>. Our 3D model-based software is at its best in conceptual and basic design phases, where design variations are frequent and flexibility is needed to achieve a competitive design. We are investing continuously in R&D to address tomorrow’s needs of the shipbuilding industry.</p><p><strong>Main tasks and responsibilities:</strong></p><ul>
<li>Develop and execute a sales strategy and account strategies to secure the short- and long-term revenue targets, with emphasis on existing customer engagement and growth.</li>
<li>Continuously demonstrate value to customers by developing a trusted advisory relationship with key customer stakeholders from end-users to executive decision makers. </li>
<li>Collaborate with product marketing and subject matter experts to drive lead generation by actively communicating the value of NAPA solutions across digital channels and live events.</li>
<li>Ensure customer success by coordinating technical support activities and implementation projects.</li>
<li>Lead contract negotiations, prepare quotations and revenue projections according to the lead-to-customer process.</li>
<li>Support, monitor and analyze customers’ usage of our product and recommend and report improvements to product management.</li>
<li>Cooperate and provide feedback on product management, product development, and services operations to address client needs.</li>
</ul><p><strong>Preferred qualifications</strong></p><p><strong>Experience & education</strong></p><ul>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a commercial environment in the maritime industry</li>
<li>Experience in CAD/CAE software business or in ship design.</li>
<li>Degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar technical field. </li>

<li>Established contact network in the European shipbuilding market and the ability to expand NAPA’s existing contact base.</li>
<li>Self-driven and results-oriented mindset with a passion for solving customer challenges</li>
<li>Working independently in a self-managed organization while collaborating across teams.</li>
