Senior Scientist/Principal Scientist, Radiobiology

<b>Summary</b><span>We are seeking a Senior/Principal Scientist in Radiobiology to join our growing Translational Biology team. We are also open to relocating new colleagues to Oslo! If so, we encourage you to apply!</span> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Manage, plan and execute in-vitro radiobiology studies to enable development of ARTBIO novel radioligand candidates from early Discovery to IND-readiness according to the company’s strategy.</li><li>Design and execution of radiolabelling and analytical characterisation of radioligands and assessment of quality in close collaboration with the in-vitro radiochemistry team.</li><li>Interface with project team and leadership to lead project goals and experimental design for drug development.</li><li>Collaborate with external vendors and academic facilities for sourcing of reagents and execution of experimental activities.</li><li>Provide mentorship and supervision to other ARTBIO preclinical team members so that experiments and projects are performed according to plan and internal ways of working.</li><li>Support writing of regulatory documentation related to pre-clinical studies for RLT candidates selected for clinical development.</li><li>Provide deep scientific expertise to guide selection of novel targets, candidate molecules and best experimental approaches to address relevant, scientific questions.</li><li>Develop innovative solutions to mitigate research challenges &amp; increase throughput and processes efficiency.</li><li>Oversee data collection, analysis, interpretation, reporting and presentation.</li><li>Multi-task and collaborate effectively with other scientists and research associates to accomplish goals on tight timelines. Ability to navigate in a start-up environment and adapt in the ‘unknown’</li><li>Maintain compliance with lab documentation to enable collaboration among multinational project teams</li><li>Analyse experimental results, brainstorm and troubleshoot findings thoughtfully and proactively</li><li>Work seamlessly in matrixed environment to ensure technical support across programs</li></ul> <h3>Qualifications &amp; Education</h3> <ul> <li>Phd or equivalent degree in Molecular Biology, Radioligand therapy development, Radiation Biology, or other relevant discipline with a significant laboratory-based skills component.</li><li>At least 5 years working in research projects, particularly in drug discovery and in vitro testing of novel radioligands.</li><li>Preferred industry experience, preferably radioligand therapy or oncology.</li><li>Good English speaking and writing skills.</li><li>Critical understanding of the principles of receptor pharmacology theory and experimental methodologies to assess ligand binding.</li><li>Specific experience with radioligand therapy development, including radiolabelling and radiopharmaceutical applications.</li><li>Proficiency in radiation safety practices and regulations, including working with open sources and radionuclides.</li><li>Proven ability to develop, optimize, and validate novel in-vitro methods and techniques and creating and implementing high throughput screening methods to streamline research processes.</li><li>Experience with Analytical Techniques such as use of gamma counters, Germanium Detectors, Dose calibrators, Thin Layer Chromatography and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography is a plus.</li><li>Conducting and interpreting internalization assays to understand cellular uptake of radioligands. </li><li>Strong analytical skills for processing and interpreting complex experimental data.</li><li>Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams and contribute to collaborative research efforts.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for writing reports, preparing presentations, and publishing research findings.</li><li>Experience managing research projects, timelines, and resources.</li><li>Line management experience, including supervising and mentoring junior scientists.</li><li>Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and innovation in addressing research challenges.</li><li>Focus on the “we” rather than the “me”</li><li>Motivated by patients, passionate about our company culture, inclusive and respectful of all colleagues</li></ul><b><span>About Us</span></b><span>ARTBIO is a clinical-stage radiopharmaceutical company redefining cancer care by creating a new class of alpha radioligand therapies (ARTs).
