Job Description: Career and Technical Education (CTE) Coach

Position Overview: The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Coach plays a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing all CTE pathways within the district. This position focuses on developing and implementing curricular activities, fostering work-based learning opportunities, and promoting district-wide engagement with middle-level students. The CTE Coach serves as a key liaison among educators, students, families, community members, and business/industry partners, ensuring the continued growth and success of CTE programs. This is a Unit 1 position, with a coaching stipend.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support CTE Pathways
    • Collaborate with CTE teachers, school counselors, work-based learning coordinators, and administrators at both building and district levels.
    • Provide coaching and guidance to educators, promoting best practices in CTE instruction and curriculum design.
  2. Curricular and Work-Based Learning Activities
    • Design and implement innovative curricular programs that engage students and enhance middle-level understanding of CTE pathways.
    • Expand opportunities for work-based learning by partnering with businesses and industry leaders.
    • Coordinate and facilitate student events that highlight and celebrate CTE programs and achievements.
  3. Family and Community Engagement
    • Actively engage families and community members by marketing and promoting the district's exceptional CTE opportunities.
    • Attend evening and weekend events to foster connections and provide resources related to CTE programs.
  4. Professional Development and Collaboration
    • Prepare and present professional development sessions to teachers and staff.
    • Collaborate with business and industry partners to identify trends and opportunities for growth within CTE programs.
  5. Additional Responsibilities
    • Coordinate purchasing and resource allocation for CTE initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate records of program activities, outcomes, and partnerships.
    • Explore strategies and take calculated risks to innovate and improve CTE pathways.
