MISO is hiring a Senior/Principal Configuration Management Analyst for our Carmel, Indiana location.   You will be responsible for administering and executing the configuration management process and ensuring Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data integrity.  You’ll also enable key corporate priorities by enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating security risks.   

As MISO’s Senior/Principal Configuration Management Analyst, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Building a program built on good practices, defining what is required, what can be reported on, and identifying and defining key metrics
  • Helping develop standard IT configuration management methodology
  • Supporting the development of Configuration Management Database (CMBD) policy, processes and knowledge base 
  • Improving configuration items (CIs) data integrity regarding classes, naming conventions, attributes, data sources, and relationships
  • Assisting in conducting configuration audits and reconciliation
  • Tracking and managing IT assets (hardware & software) throughout their life cycle, ensuring logical and consistent operational processes are defined and standard systems are implemented to acquire and maintain IT assets.
  • Examining highly complex data from multiple sources crossing departmental boundaries in which results are not predictable to identify solutions and make process improvement recommendations.
  • Understanding of the Change and Configuration Management Process and MISO’s compliance requirements for Change and Configuration Management

To be successful as our Senior/Principal Configuration Management Analyst, some of the technical skills we look for include:

  • At least 7 years of Configuration Management experience required
  • Experience with multiple IT Service Management Tools and tool migration
  • Experience designing and implementing controls and providing evidence to auditors.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification (preferred)
  • ITIL Operational Support & Analysis (OSA) Intermediate Certification or Service Operation (SO) Intermediate Certification (preferred)

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
