CHPP Operator / Maintainer

Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck and shovel terrace operation.

Reporting to the CHPP Crew Supervisor and the CHPP Operations Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation & maintenance of our fixed plant asset. This will be complemented by your ability to work safely and effectively as part of a dynamic team, by utilising resources to optimise equipment availability.

Core accountabilities include:

• Performing regular CHPP plant inspections to monitor conditions and maximise efficiencies within the CHPP

• Carrying out breakdown maintenance

• Safe and efficient operation of mobile equipment including Loaders & Dozers

• Operation of train load out

• Maintaining product stockpiles

• Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping is maintained

• Regular maintenance tasks and improvement works within the CHPP

• Assisting Maintenance planners by supplying accurate and detailed work scopes and information

• Supporting the team to deliver cost effective and reliable performance against the key deliverables defined by the CHPP maintenance plan

About you:

• 5+ years industry experience in a similar role

• Trade qualifications

• Team player

• Proactive attitude towards safety
