This position is for a Principal Procurement Specialist (Remote) position. Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier from different commodities for the Propeller Systems organization. Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family. Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost and meets all compliance requirements.

What You Will Do:

  • Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution.
  • Responsible for P.O and flow of orders
  • Communicates with cross-functional disciplines.
  • Approves and qualifies vendors to fulfill account needs.
  • Responds to client issues or problems.
  • Authorizes purchase orders and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
  • Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
  • Prepares and reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
  • Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • 2 years of buyer experience or 5 years of relevant experience related to procurement
  • Prior experience with processing P.O orders and analyzing pricing proposals
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in business or supply chain is a plus
  • Contract negotiation is a plus
  • Experience in commodity organization
  • Experience with limited delivery assurance
  • SAP experience is required
  • Aerospace industry experience is a plus
  • Although the job is posted as remote, onsite presence is expected at the request of the supervisor on an as needed basis. Local CT/MA candidate preferred.
