We foster a workplace where inclusive and diverse teams can thrive, harnessing the power of technology and the entrepreneurial spirit of our people to deliver market-leading innovations.</p><p><strong>AECOM’s Transport Planning and Economics Team</strong></p><p>The Transport Planning and Economics Team includes 45 staff working across our offices in Dublin, Galway and Belfast and includes planners, engineers, economists, GIS and data specialists and project managers.</p><p>Our key clients include Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), the National Transport Authority (NTA), the Dublin Airport Authority and Irish Rail to whom we have provided strategic transport planning and economics services for many years.  Current and recent projects include:</p><ul><li>BusConnects Programme Business Case (NTA)</li><li>National Transport Model (TII)</li><li>Rail Freight Strategy and Development Programme (Irish Rail)</li><li>Carbon Emissions Model (TII)</li><li>National Cycle Network Plan (TII)</li><li>Cork Area Commuter Rail Project (Irish Rail)</li><li>Mobility Hubs Strategy and Business Case (NTA)</li><li>Dublin Airport masterplan and surface access planning (daa)</li><li>Transport plans for various towns nationally including: Maynooth, Carlow and Killarney.</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>AECOM is recruiting for an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join our Transport Planning and Economics Team in the Republic of Ireland. We are looking to enhance and grow our team with individuals with a sound technical background that share our enthusiasm and determination to support our expanding workload.</p><p> </p><p>As a Senior Consultant within the Transport Planning and Economics Team you will:</p><ul><li>Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams</li><li>Support the production of high-quality project deliverables</li><li>Lead on primary research and analysis as part of larger projects</li><li>Develop your skills in project management</li><li>Support business development through preparation of tender responses</li><li>Engage in continuous sector specific learning and development.</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Requirements </strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge and experience in the transport industry and/or experience of working as a transport planning consultant</li><li>Ability to articulate and communicate complex information</li><li>Data analysis and processing skills</li><li>Keen to work as part of a team and to develop and progress career development.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Degree/Masters qualification in a relevant transport planning area such as engineering, geography, mathematics, economics, spatial planning, from an accredited college or university</li><li>Membership of, or working towards membership of, a relevant chartered professional institution such as the Engineers Ireland, CIHT or TPS</li><li>Working towards professional chartership, such as the Transport Planning Professional (TPP) qualification or Chartered Engineer (CEng).</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>About AECOM</strong><br/> AECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle – from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
