Requisition Summary
Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for a Transportation Design Intern (Styling) in Denton, Texas. This position will work in our Industrial Design Department and assist the Industrial Design team with the design of Advanced Concepts. Responsibilities will also include creating graphics, presentation support, and research as needed.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Transportation Design: Assist the Industrial Design Managers with styling a range of Advanced Design concepts for future Exteriors and Interiors ranging from theme development using design phases from concept to high quality renderings, and to support other projects as requested. Designer will focus on future concepts, and may support production-based programs and projects.
- Research: Conduct research of current and future competitive and analogous product, and other research to support both Industrial Design and Product Planning Groups as required.
- Rendering Support: Create High Quality Renderings, Support Presentations, Layouts, and graphics as required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Designers, Digital Modelers, Studio Modelers, Product Planning and Program Management team members.
Skills
Strong command of traditional and digital sketching and rendering skills are required. Must have design acumen and form language skills, in addition to strong verbal and visual communication skills. Gravity Sketch, VRED, Blender and VR skills are preferred.
Education
The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in Transportation Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related program.
