The Role at a Glance

The Business Analytics Consultant will consult, analyze, and deliver on more complex data analytics and metrics to support goals & objectives for Lincoln Financial Distribution (LFD). They will also act as a resource to applicable internal and external stakeholders. They will identify more complex data patterns and trends and provide insights to enhance business decision making.

What you'll be doing

  • Serve as a trusted analytics partner to distribution leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, understanding business questions, defining data requirements, and delivering insights that inform strategy, validate assumptions, and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Proactively surface and communicate trends, variances, opportunities, and anomalies across sales, product, and market data; research inconsistencies and bring forward findings and recommendations that help the business better understand performance and what's driving it.
  • Build and deliver compelling data narratives through presentations, dashboards, and written briefs that connect the dots across internal and external data sources and drive alignment and action among distribution leadership.
  • Act as a resource to advise management & business stakeholders on use of quality business analytics, tools, and methods to improve efficiency, accuracy, and interpretation of various business metrics.
  • Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assess the impact, and collaborate with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Help advance the team’s use of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve insights and business value. 

What we’re looking for

Must-Haves 

  • 3-5+ years of business analytics, performance analysis, and/or insights consulting
  • Demonstrated ability to frame business problems analytically, develop hypotheses, and present findings to executive stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex data into clear insights, effectively influencing management and key stakeholders
  • Proficiency with SQL, Tableau, and BI tools to independently access and visualize data
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 

Nice-to-Haves 

  • Prior Financial Services experience
  • Experience utilizing AI to enhance data analysis and insights
  • Experience in a consulting or business-facing role where success was measured by business impact, not technical output
  • Comfort presenting to senior leadership and facilitating data-driven discussions

The pay range for this position is $72,900 - $131,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law.
