Summary:
Organizes and oversees the children's surgical verification process and quality initiative. This role involves managing the continuum of children's surgical care, from planning and implementing clinical protocols to monitoring in-hospital patient care.Prefer -
The ideal candidate would be a registered nurse (RN) with 3–5 Years of Clinical Nursing Experience: Ideally, this experience would be in surgical project manager or /and pediatrics. This individual would also have Program Management, Project Management Experience, or coordinator experience.
Responsibilities:
Provides intra facility and regional professional staff development, participate in case review, and implement practice guidelines and direct community-education programs.Supervises collection, coding, and developing process for validations and analysis of data. Design and oversee the data collection to facilitate performance improvement activities, trend reports, and research while protecting confidentiality.Coordinates management across the continuum of the children's surgical care, which includes planning and implementation of clinical protocols and practice-management guidelines, monitoring care of in hospital patients, and serving as a resource for clinical practice.Participate in the development of children's surgical care systems at the community, state, provincial, or national levels.Manage, as appropriate, the operational, personal, and financial aspects of the children's surgical program. Serve as a liaison to administration, and represent the children's surgical program on various hospital and community committees. To enhance and foster optimal care management.To be involved in research project, analysis and distribution of finings. Facilitate protocol design for accurate data collection, feedback and analysis, and understand the requirements of research oversight.Monitors clinical processes and outcomes and system issues related to the quality of care provided; develop quality filters audits and case reviews; identify trends and sentential events; and help outline remedial actions while maintaining confidentiality.Stabilizes the complex network of many disciplines that work in concert to provide high quality children's surgical care. Serve as an internal resource for staff in all departments, and act as an extended liaison for other system entities.Competencies:
