Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing warehouse operations and Food/Beverage and/or manufacturing; 1+ years of people management experience
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required)
  • Intermediate Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (required)
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish (required)

 

Job Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day activities, performance, implementation, and strategy of the warehouse organization on assigned shift. The Warehouse Supervisor reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and supports the Manager with warehouse activities and projects.

  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Working with loads and preparation of loads for the different locations and transfers within GT’s.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions including OSHA regulations.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Very aware of disposition, storing and FIFO of product within the guidelines of GT’s Living Foods.
  • Controls inventory levels and reports to inventory discrepancies or space constraints.
  • Maintains a complete and organized warehouse at all times.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement especially forklift, picking equipment such as side shifter and clamp.
  • Performs daily checks on personnel for shortages and replacements, also monitor workload for the day.
  • Maintain control of employee’s schedules, attendance, overtime, and labor.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, evaluating performance review and appraising job results.
  • Maintain and manage employee’s performance based on the need to the organization.
  • Coordinates pick-ups and drop offs for all Parcel vendors (FedEx or UPS)
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Ensures all Shipping orders are picked and loaded systematically as well as physically.
  • Works hand and hand with the receiving coordinator to ensure all PO’s received are posted.
  • Ensures an adequate hand off is provided to the following shift and provides a detailed EOD before departure.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to be an effective team player.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to lift under 50 lbs.
  • Ability to set department priorities, drive strategy, and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner collaboratively with key stakeholders to drive and deliver results.
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, GMPs, PPE, Inventory Control and FIFO
  • Experience with ERP systems (D365) (preferred)
