This position is responsible for Financial Support and Controllership activities for our Louisiana Integrated Polymers JV business.  This position will coordinate, consolidate and analyze the annual sales, production, and variable & fixed cost forecasts and budgets, and is a critical liaison on business finance related issues.  He/she acts as the focal point for General Ledger/SAP accounting issues as they relate to properly assigning costs and revenues to cost centers and profit centers and provides guidance to members of the Finance department often through the process of coordinating a joint work product. Strong interfaces exist with senior business leadership, operations staff groups and senior management within the CFO organization. The incumbent will be considered a financial planning expert.

A Day In The Life:

• Provide overall financial support to Business Directors and Segment.
• Monthly forecasting and planning of income statement, balance sheet and cash flows.
• Annual budget preparation.
• Quarterly MD&A segment analysis.
• Partner with JV accounting team and Business leadership to understand core financial drivers and successfully translate information to a business forecast.
• Research and resolve general ledger/SAP accounting issues as they relate to properly assigning costs and revenues to cost centers and profit centers.
• Work with the business to identify and measure KPIs.
• Support business unit working capital management.
• Monthly financial analysis and ad hoc special business performance analysis.
• Investigation into variable cost performance and analysis on improvement opportunities.
• Support and report on VEP initiatives related to the Business.

Value You Bring:

Education:

• BA in a financial/business related field or relevant experience with six or more years of financial or business analysis experience preferred, although high potential individuals may be considered with less relevant experience.

Work Experience: 

• A minimum of 6+ years of experience in a multi-entity, complex global environment. 
• Experience in Petrochemical or relate industries is a plus.
• Experience using ERP and Financial Planning systems (SAP, Oracle, BPC, OneStream).

Skills:

• Ability to work independently and within a team to solve problems and drive continuous process improvements and exhibit strong analytical, evaluation and judgment skills.
• Attention to detail to ensure accounting and financial information is timely, accurate and complete.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills consistent with a client group including Senior Managers and Executives.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities (multiple tasks) and support business unit management with sound business and financial counsel while constantly challenging to drive the team to optimize results and add value.
• Strong PC skills, including spreadsheets, database, graphics, statistical forecasting, and modeling.
• Exhibits a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
• High level of self motivation and intellectual curiosity to proactively solve problems and unearth answers to issues affecting Business performance.
