Here at Lakeside Foods, our maintenance technician/mechanic team is the backbone of our operations, ensuring equipment runs optimally while maintaining the facility. Maintenance technicians/mechanics are respected “Jack of All Trades” team members, performing troubleshooting on electrical/electronics and minor mechanical and/or fabrication updates and using their knowledge to improve production processes. What You’ll Do:
- Repair and maintain the electrical operation of machines as directed with the assistance of a tech of a higher classification.
- Be able to write simple programs, monitor and troubleshoot complex programs.
- Troubleshoot and repair printers, metal detectors, scales, color sorters, green ear sorters, and any other electrical equipment.
- Assist mechanics when necessary for line repair.
What You’ll Bring:
- A two-year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successfully complete Mechanic Evaluation Assessment
- Willingness to learn
- Positive attitude
- Strong work ethic
- Safety mindset
- Refrigeration experience preferred
