Sterile Processing Materials Assistant
Part Time | 40hr Biweekly

As a Sterile Processing Materials Assistant, you’ll support the department’s daily operations by managing medical and surgical supply inventory, performing clerical tasks, and contributing to performance improvement initiatives. Your work ensures the team has what it needs to deliver safe, efficient care to every patient.

Key Responsibilities

Dispense medical and surgical supplies to support daily operations and patient care

Perform daily inventory assessments, ordering, and stocking of supplies

Participate in annual inventory and assist with inventory process improvements

Collect and report productivity statistics for Central Processing

Assist with payroll documentation and general office duties

Support departmental projects through coordination, documentation, and implementation

Operate computers, printers, and office equipment to maintain accurate records

Minimum Qualifications
Education
-
High school diploma with commercial/business coursework required

Graduation from secretarial school preferred
Experience
-
Previous general office experience preferred

Demonstrated competency in typing and filing required

Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required

Ability to think quickly and make independent decisions

Familiarity with inventory processes preferred

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
