The position 

The Project Manager, New Domain, will play a leading role in helping A Place For Mom develop a new website. The Project manager will be responsible for owning the project workplan and coordinating with internal and external resources to ensure the project is in line with scope, schedule and budget. This includes working hand in hand with the Product Manager to ensure that project objectives are aligned with business goals. The Project manager will also be responsible for analyzing the current project status and, when necessary, revising the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met. The Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for all client stakeholders, providing daily updates on project status, changes, and escalating any relevant issues or challenges as needed.

Job Description

• Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks
• Ensure the team's process evolves within organizational guidelines and standards of practice
• Structure and manage integrated, multitrack teams across Product, Engineering, Design, Content and multiple geographies
• Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and researchers
• Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
• Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
• Create high-level, detailed schedules and timelines to ensure on-time iterative releases
• Work hand in hand with the Product Manager to ensure that project objectives are aligned with business goals
• Track expenses, and ensure the project stays within budgetary constraints
• Identify potential risks to the project and develop contingency plans to mitigate those risks

Qualifications

• Familiarity with software development and understanding of stakeholder engagement
• Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
• Must be a product advocate; can describe the product, its value, how it works, how it is adopted, speak to upcoming changes and tailor the information to the audience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Comfort with rapidly evolving designs, requirements, and have excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to nurture self-organizing, high performing teams through servant leadership and mentoring
• Excellent communicator, able to gain the respect of the team, stakeholders, and management
• Professional certification such as PMP (preferred)

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum four or more years of project management experience

Additional Information

Compensation

• Base Salary: $85,500 to $95,000 + 10% Bonus
