Provides HFM services and shall be responsible for the performance of the facility OM&R work in the medical facilities. The CHFM shall be technically qualified in the field of Healthcare Facilities Management and shall have, at a minimum, five (5) years’ experience in ambulatory healthcare medical facility operations and maintenance including the supervision of a diversified work force responsible for operations, maintenance, and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems.  The HFM must be a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certified by the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) or equivalent accrediting agency. Equivalent certification must include budgeting, infection control, medical-unique equipment and systems, and operations of systems employed to maintain the interior environment to include pressure relationships, temperature, and relative humidity. The HFM shall have the ability to read and comprehend schematics, blueprints, and shop drawings. The HFM shall have knowledge of the various codes and standards applicable to the O&M tasks covered by this PWS, NFPA, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) codes and standards and TJC for clinic accreditations. The HFM shall have working knowledge and familiarity with current Environment of Care (EOC) standards for either healthcare or ambulatory healthcare occupancies, as required, by the work site. The HFM shall manage the Fire Prevention and Protection Program IAW UFC and applicable AFIs.  

The HFM shall have a working knowledge of data base systems, especially the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS)/Defense Medical Logistics-Enterprise Solution (DML-ES).  The HFM shall perform reconciliation of real property records in DMLSS/DML-ES, as required per AFI guidelines. A valid Driver’s License is also required. Must be a US National with a secret clearance.
