About the Role
As part of the NetSuite Application Manage Tax team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that support global tax management features such as tax calculation, compliance and localization.
In our agile development environment, you will work closely with software engineers, product managers, designers, security and support engineers to ensure robust functionality and a high standard of delivery. We believe quality is built in - not tested at the end and shipping awesome software requires more than just testing.
You’ll be part of an international team based in Prague, Brno, India and Philippines. We’re collaborative, quality-driven and committed to helping each other grow. While our domain may sound straightforward, the complexity of tax logic, customer variability and the depth of our legacy systems offer plenty of technical challenges and room to innovate.
If you passionate about designing testable architecture, proactive coaching of engineers and championing improvements in process, tooling and mindset, this role is for you. You'll not only find issues, but prevent them through innovation and collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years in software QA roles with experience in enterprise software, ideally within Application domains such as tax, accounting or financials.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or internal frameworks).
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, SQL and debugging complex transactional systems.
- Familiarity with SDLC best practices and quality gates in large-scale SaaS platforms.
- Proven experience with incident analysis, root cause identification and leading preventive improvements.
- Skilled in test data design, system configuration testing and validating rule-based engines (e.g., tax logic engines).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - able to lead by influence.
- Coaching and mentoring engineers and testers in quality practices.
- Contributions to internal quality communities or external testing communities.
- Champion quality across the Manage Tax product area, ensuring high standards in functionality, performance and compliance.
- Lead quality planning, including defining goals, risk assessment and tooling strategy during release planning.
- Collaborate with engineers to shape testable architecture and embed quality in design and development phases.
- Train engineers in advanced testing techniques (exploratory, negative, security).
- Validate compliance requirements are met.
- Own the decision on release readiness from a quality and risk perspective.
- Analyze incidents and technical debt to define preventive actions and improve system reliability.
- Drive improvements in automation, coverage and test execution efficiency using relevant tools and frameworks.
- Act as a quality evangelist within the Tribe, guiding other teams on best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Use data and metrics to gain insights into product quality and promote evidence-based decision-making.
