The Global Data Office

Led by Visa’s first Chief Data Officer, the Global Data Office coordinates high-impact, complex, company-wide projects related to data business strategy, critical investments, policy development, and marketplace execution. Working closely with Visa’s Chief Privacy Officer, the Technology organization, the wider data community, and the full set of Visa’s global lines of business, the Global Data Office is evolving Visa’s data-related work with momentum and enthusiasm. Driven by its commitment to trusted use of data, Visa is seeking enthusiastic leaders who are change-agents and passionate about the future of data around the world.

The Analyst will be part of the Global Data Office (GDO) team, which helps Visa solve critical business issues and take advantage of strategic opportunities through data-centric solutions. Initiatives span across data functions providing the Analyst a unique “birds-eye” view of the organization and broad professional exposure.

The Analyst will contribute to bringing data priorities to life by conceptualizing, defining, building, and growing data-centered solutions to deliver business outcome. Each initiative is different and requires a unique approach from short-term sprints to longer-term engagements. The team operates on an agile basis, with Analysts working with different GDO leaders across multiple initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a range of product, strategy, and technology experience with hands-on problem-solving and solutions development in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment. The role requires the person to be comfortable with ambiguity, be a creative and independent thinker, analytically minded, and a self-starter.

Essential Functions

  • Contribute to multiple projects with integrated and distributed teams led by GDO
  • Absorb new topics and concepts quickly to effectively contribute to efforts across variety of domains
  • Complete fact-based research and analysis, interpret the results, develop a point-of-view, and translating conclusions into executive-level or external thought-leadership content
  • Demonstrate knowledge of capabilities and technologies in a payments ecosystem and the ability to apply them in a range of situations from ideation to solution. The ideal candidate has experience developing product specifications, product roadmaps, or engaging with technology
  • Develop detailed project plans, define tasks and timelines, to ensure accountability and action
  • Surpass expectations on initiative taking, follow through, and delivering results on time
  • Collaborate with colleagues using communication, creativity, and intellect
  • Be grounded in curiosity – always seeking to understand other points of views to create informed hypotheses

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.​

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 or more years of work experienc
