Physical Therapist – Outpatient – Rotating - Days/Evenings
At New York-Presbyterian, our Physical Therapists use advanced technology and best-practice techniques to restore and maximize patient mobility and function. We provide one-on-one therapies that are tailored to meet the individual needs of our patients. Our facilities include state of the art exercise equipment, private and open treatment space and up to date technologies such as Bioness L-300 Go and Lite-Gait. Join our inter-disciplinary team and provide high-quality, outpatient rehabilitation for our patients. Help us build on our reputation as New York’s #1 hospital. This is a rotating position, beginning in the outpatient department treating clients with orthopedic, geriatric, and neurological conditions. Experience with amputee population and/or therapist with Schroth certification is preferred.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday with 2 evenings per week. The hours are between 8:30am – 4:30pm AND 11am-7pm including intermittent weekend and holiday coverage. The position begins in the outpatient area with possible future rotations into other areas.
Preferred Criteria
- Experience treating a variety of Orthopedic and Geriatric conditions.
- Experience with amputee population and prosthetic gait training.
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Advanced credentialing such as Orthopedic Clinical Specialist /Certified Orthopedic Musculoskeletal Therapist / Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist/ Schroth certified therapist.
Required Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
- Current NYS PT licensure
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
