Product Cost Engineer

Must Have:
aPriori tool knowledge

• -Design for Cost approaches: New Product Introductions
• -Detailed Cost Analysis (should costing) and Manufacturing Sequence of build to print Parts
• -Manufacturing processes: Castings, Forgings, Sheet metal-Stampings, Machining, Others
• -Minimum 7-10 years 
• --Performing should cost analysis thru aPriori

Good to Have:

• -Computer Aided Design (CAD) Tools
• -Influencing skills
• -Communication
• -Problem Solving 
• -Project Management

 

 

Key Responsibilities
• In-depth Knowledge of Manufacturability / Producibility practices specific to Mechanical /Electrical/Electronics and other components
• Perform technical calculations on parts and simple assemblies.
• Cycle time calculations, MHR calculations- Cost analysis by cost element distributions
• Product costing-for medical devices/equipment or parts
• Perform Should cost analysis through aPriori tool, maintain database of RM and MHR
• Identify simple cost reduction ideas.
• Able to analyze manufacturing processes of a sub-assembly/part and generate process steps. Knowledge of latest manufacturing processes
• Understanding of GD&T standards for proper application. Able to explain to suppliers how to interpret.
