Position Summary
The Analyst, New Product Marketing plays a critical role in bringing the most exciting new products to life at Guitar Center. This position sits at the intersection of Merchandising, Marketing, and Creative, helping orchestrate seamless product launches that reach customers across every channel we operate. Blending analytical rigor with operational excellence, the Analyst ensures launches are executed accurately, on time, and with maximum market impact. Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central connector between Merchandising, Marketing and Creative partners.
- Maintain visibility into launch timelines, risks, and dependencies.
- Analyze sales & marketing performance metrics and produce reporting documentation
- Own the NPI ticket database (Quickbase) to validate launch details such as marketing live dates, inventory status, forecasts, campaign alignment, and prioritization, and more
- Assist in translating merchant strategies into actionable marketing execution.
- Partner with channel teams across Email, E-commerce, Paid Media, In-Store, Social, Affiliate/Influencer, Retail, and Contact Center.
- Identify trends that inform launch prioritization, resourcing, and go-to-market strategy.
- Develop new NPI workflows, tools, and documentation to support scalable execution.
- Serve as a product marketing subject-matter expert for new products.
- Review creative assets to ensure accuracy of product details, messaging, and timing.
- Support merchant teams and represent new product marketing interests in vendor discussions as needed.
To join our band, you'll need the following experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2- 4 years marketing experience preferably supporting product launches or go-to market initiatives.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to change.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Comfort working with databases, spreadsheets, BI tools, AI and marketing calendars.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven cross-functional collaboration experience.
- Musical experience highly preferred.
